It Ain't Gonna Rain No More (from Jbrary)
It ain't gonna rain no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh no, it's up to my toe!
It ain't gonna rain no more!

It ain't gonna rain no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh gee, it's up to my knee!
It ain't gonna rain no more!

It ain't gonna rain no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh my, it's up to my thigh!
It ain't gonna rain no more!

It ain't gonna rain, no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh fiddle, it' s up to my middle!
It ain't gonna rain no more!

It ain't gonna rain, no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh heck, it's up to my neck,
It ain't gonna rain no more!

It ain't gonna rain no more, no more,
It ain't gonna rain no more,
Oh dread, it's up to my head,
I guess I'll just swim home!

Parachute Activity: Using our parachute we demonstrated several different types of weather.

The rain is on my head (to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell", modified from Laughter and Literacy)
The rain is on my head, the rain is on my head!
Hi ho the dairy-o, the rain is on my head!
The rain goes up and down, the rain goes up and down!
Hi ho the dairy-o, the rain goes up and down!
The rain goes fast and slow, the rain goes fast and slow!
Hi ho the dairy-o, the rain goes fast and slow!
The rain is on my head, the rain is on my head!
Hi ho the dairy-o the rain is on my head!

Literacy tip of the week: Young children learn through their senses. Try fun sensory related literacy activities with your child. For instance, have them write letters in shaving cream or paint!

For more information on the centers that followed this storytime head over to Ms. Kelly At the Library.
